Sounds like a great idea? Any consolidation of services will result in a personnel reduction somewhere due to eliminating duplication of services and management ...the question is just how this effort will affect the Macomb County sheriff's budget? Response time may be enhanced...but the flip side is the creation of yet another agency whose costs will certainly still rise based on increased costs (transportation, fuel, health care, etc.) which are beyond the control of the participating municipalities. Your thoughts?
